One of the key missions of the CFE's Space Program is to study and analyze the evolutions of U.S. space policy. While most of the resulting papers are intended for the program's partners, a few of them are also published, such as this report on "U.S. Perceptions of the Chinese Space Effort". The success of the Shenzhou 5 mission represented a significant breakthrough of the Chinese space program. This and other space-related evolutions in China have stirred up mixed reactions in the United States. This Policy Brief intends to inform the general public about the issues at stake.
