The 2022 French presidential election is of particular importance: given the outbreak of war in Ukraine and the exacerbation of international tensions, the next five years will be decisive for France's rank, sovereignty, and security.

In this context, foreign policy issues occupy a central place in the campaign.

On the eve of the first round of elections, the French Institute of International Relations launches Ifri Maps (https://ifrimaps.org [1]) to shed light on the key international topics of the electoral debates. This interactive platform brings together analysis notes, videos, key figures, and satellite images on the major geopolitical and geo-economic matters. It also displays a comparison of the main candidates' programs on international issues.
