Victor Magnani holds a MRes in Political Science with a specialization in African Studies from the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He had various professional experiences in South Africa (French Consulate in Cape Town, Parliament of the Republic of South Africa, French Institute of South Africa) prior to joining the African Studies Center of the French Institute of International Relations - Ifri in 2015. His research focuses on elections and political parties in two countries in particular, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
From 2016 to 2020, Victor Magnani coordinated the Observatory of Central and Southern Africa in collaboration with the French Ministry of the Armed Forces.
