Note rich couv

The choices that the current President, Joseph Kabila, who has been in power since 2001, will make in the coming months, will indicate whether the DRC is on course towards a democratic process, or whether the country will be the scene of political intrigues with the sole purpose of retaining power. This article presents the resources available to the President Joseph Kabila, to remain in power beyond his second and last term. It also draws up an overview of both the Presidential Majority (MP) and the opposition parties, before assessing the various emerging trends for the 2016 elections.
