The 16th edition of Ifri's annual conference on the United States, organized by Ifri's North America Program on December 7th, 2017, reviewed the key events and evolutions of the Trump administration's first year in office.

More than 160 participants attended the day, including students from Parisian universities and schools, representatives of private companies and the diplomatic corps, as well as members of the media. The latter used the information gathered during the day for background, and mentioned the event and what they had learned later on, as shown by Virginie Robert's article in January, at the time of President Trump's inauguration's first anniversary.
