Recent events have provided the opportunity for the rekindling of relations between Ukraine and the European Union.

The EU quickly recognized Kiev’s interim government, providing support in various forms, including an €11 billion financial aid plan over the coming years. This financial aid will depend on the Ukrainian government’s ability to bring about fundamental reforms which are much needed given the country’s current situation.
