At a time when Europe's international vocation is more frequently described in terms of its capacity to influence main world-wide issues, this 'Note' provides an up-to-date and relevant evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of the European Union's international normative influence.

It confirms in concreto the fact that political and institutional European dimensions are very much interdependant, and that there still remains a lot to be accomplished if Europe is to assert itself as a real international normative power.
