Amr Abdelrahim is a Research Fellow at Ifri’s Türkiye and Middle East program, which he joined in 2023. He works on Egyptian internal affairs, foreign policy, and larger regional and global geopolitical issues.

Amr Abdelrahim holds a master’s degree in international security from Sciences Po, where he defended an MA thesis on the Egyptian media field. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Sciences Po Paris’ doctoral program in comparative politics. His thesis explores how rap music produces new subjectivities and collective identities among post-Arab Spring youth in Egypt.
