The political-strategic objectives of NATO's missile defense seem well-conceptualized by now when it comes to its overall posture, geographical location, and integration within the NATO architecture. The Russian issue remains open to speculation. Today, the crux of the problem is on the missile defense's political-economic objectives that remain formidable, especially the cost and the industrial implications where the Europeans have been lagging behind.
