Commander Jean-Baptiste Guyot is an officer in the French Air and Space Force, currently assigned to the Defense Research Unit at Ifri's Security Studies Center, where he contributes to research on aerospace power and deterrence.
A weapon systems officer and navigator on the Rafale B, he has been deployed multiple times on overseas operations in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. As a leader and instructor on the Rafale, he has also contributed to the air defense of French national territory. He has accumulated around 2,000 flight hours and 40 combat missions.
A graduate of the École de l’Air (French Air Force Academy), he holds a master’s degree in mechanics from Aix-Marseille University and a diploma in international strategy analysis. He is also a graduate of the French War College (École de guerre).
