The European Union's Struggle Against Terrorism Politique étrangère, Vol. 83, No. 2, Summer 2018

Since 2015, several countries in the European Union have been hit by attacks.

The transnational dimension of the threat has prompted member states to strengthen their security union. Nevertheless, the EU’s anti-terrorist activities have remained limited, due largely to the desire of member states to retain control in areas of national security.

Séverine Wernert is Member of Cabinet, Commissioner Julian King.
