Practical information
In the aftermath of the Paris global agreement on climate change, innovation stands as a growing source of leadership edge in energy markets. The integration of energy storage capacities is opening new ways of thinking and may trigger new business models for the industry. At the same time, the big data revolution is changing the picture on the electricity market. How will innovation transform the world energy landscape? Are there new risks arising from the interdependencies related to this new technology deployment? Will it ultimately provide new catalysts for energy markets in setting long-term pathways for decarbonisation? The debate will be dedicated to one key driver for the Energy Union: Innovation and to the need to bridge the gap between knowledge and industrialization in Europe.
