Will Obama's economic politicies pull the United States out of the recession?

The first seminar in the series co-hosed by Ifri and the French American Foundation France (FAF) will examine the likelihood that Obama's economic policy will pull the U.S. out of the recession. The event will discuss the effects of President Obama's plan, the financial sector bailout, the political context and the impact on the world economy. 

With Jean-Claude Gruffat, Executive Director, Citigroup ; Eric Chaney, Chief Economist, AXA group ; Bruce Crumley, Head of Time Magazine's Paris bureau ; Seth Winnick, Minister-Councellor of Economic Affairs at the United States Embassy ; William Adams, Professor of Industrial Economics at the University of Michigan. Facilitator : Jacques Mistral, Director of Economic Studies at Ifri and host of the conference series on the financial crisis. 

The event will be held in French.
