L'Environnement aux États-Unis : entre jurisprudence et politique Note de l'Ifri, August 2007

The U.S. Supreme Court has recently released two important decisions addressing environmental protection issues: wetlands protection (June 2006) and climate change (April 2007). The Court rulings illustrate the key part played by the American legal system in that area. They also shed some light on the limits of the existing legislation, thus adding to the growing momentum for renewed federal intervention.
