Michel Pesqueur is a former Military Fellow at the Defence Research Unit (LRD) of Ifri's Security studies center. Active officer in the Army, previously chief of branch at the Joint Support Coordination Center, he has been deployed several times in Ivory Coast Republic, Central African Republic and Afghanistan. Seconded by the Ministry of the Armed Forces to the Institute, he brought operational experience to the various studies related to contemporary military commitments and the adaptation of the French defence posture.
He is a graduate from the Saint-Cyr special military school and the War College, and he holds a PhD in History.
The French Military Planning Act for the years 2019-2025, is “dedicated” to men and women in the services, showing how crucial the human factor is for the armed forces.
