China has made its flagship project, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a tool of its public diplomacy, praising its "inclusive", "win-win", "peaceful" nature. Six years after its launch, what's the situation in Southeast Asia? The question takes on all its acuity with COVID-19, which could lead to a reconfiguration of some value chains in the region.
