Juliette Loesch is a PhD candidate in political science at the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (Inalco), where she studies political communication in contemporary Indonesia. She publishes a newsletter on Southeast Asian political affairs: www.durianstories.substack.com.

She previously served as Indo-Pacific Policy Officer at the Directorate General for International Relations and Strategy (DGRIS) of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, and has taught international relations at Inalco and Sorbonne University.
