Ten years after 9/11 and the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan amd eight years after the second American invasion of Iraq, the Middle East is more than a region open to local and international rivalries.

Politique étrangère published an exceptional number of pieces (3/2011) on the United States and Middle East. This conference will bring together a number of those scholars to discuss the Middle East's most pressing issues.
