The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence systems raises questions that go far beyond technical considerations: the vulnerability of critical infrastructure, shifts in the balance of power among nations, and a growing lack of governance tools.
The Ifri Center for Geopolitics of Technology is pleased to welcome two leading figures in AI: Geoffrey Hinton (2024 Nobel Prize in Physics), often referred to as the “godfather of AI”; and Arthur Mensch (CEO of Mistral AI), a key player in the emerging European AI landscape.
Together, they will exchange perspectives to shed light on a crucial question: how can we anticipate, manage, and mitigate the systemic risks of AI on an international scale?
