The three conservative Muslim states, Pakistan, Iran and Saudi Arabia, have been vying for political and religious influence in many Muslim regions, often with clashing interests. The study of this triangular relations helps to understand various undercurrents and their ramifications for the regional security in general and in these Muslim states in particular.
