One Month before the Election: The Political Outlook in Washington

532040-lincoln-memorial-statue-close-up.jpg

The campaign for the November election, now well underway, witnesses a number of key debates: Is the fear of a U.S. decline, so often mentionned in the press these days, a transient mood or a deeper trend? How do the economic difficulties impact public opinion attitudes? How are campaign tactics and the polarization of the public debate affected by a growing use of the internet and social networks?
