Evolutions of the Religious Landscape in East and Central Africa
This conference will explore the major evolutions of the religious landscape in Central and East Africa. We will discuss the mutations observable in the Christian and Muslim worlds, the relations between religion and politics, and the development of various forms of radicalism, whether rhetorical, exacerbating social conservatism, or fueling and/or combining with violent challenges to the powers that be. These dynamics will be examined at local, national and transnational levels.
German and French Africa Policies in a Multipolar World
As Africa experiences a paradigm shift in its global positioning, characterized by the rise of multiple regional and international actors, it becomes imperative to examine how traditional European powers, such as France and Germany, navigate this transformed landscape.

"Paris Dialogue" - First Edition, June 2026
The first edition of the “Paris Dialogue” took place on 8 and 9 June. The initiative was launched by Ifri, France’s leading think tank, and AGDA, a center of excellence based in Abu Dhabi. It is co-chaired by Thierry de Montbrial, executive chairman of Ifri, and Anwar Gargash, diplomatic advisor to H.H. the President of the United Arab Emirates, and deputy chairman of the board of trustees of AGDA.
