A graduate of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne with a master’s degree in political science, specializing in conflicts and international crises, Julia Amoura focuses on political and security dynamics in Central Africa. She completed several internships, first with the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), and later with the Security Sector Reform (SSR) Unit for Central and West Africa. She then joined the International Crisis Group as a volunteer analyst within the Central Africa team, where she contributed to research and advocacy on regional crises. Since October 2025, she has been an assistant at the Sub-Saharan Africa Center and the Turkey/Middle East Program at Ifri (the French Institute of International Relations).‎ ‎
